Back to homeClassic five-field cron: minute, hour, day of month, month, day of week. Supports *, steps */n, ranges a-b, comma lists, stepped ranges a-b/n, month names (JAN–DEC), and weekday names or 0–7 (0/7 = Sunday). Summary lines are heuristic; Quartz/Spring extras depend on the scheduler.
About every weekday at 9:00 (pattern match)
| Field | Expression | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| Minute | 0 | At minute 0 |
| Hour | 9 | At hour 9 (0–23) |
| Day of month | * | Every day (no DOM filter) |
| Month | * | Every month |
| Weekday | 1-5 | Monday–Friday (weekdays) |
Some platforms add seconds or time zones; Linux crontab is usually five fields. Commas separate list items; if you see “Not expanded”, check your scheduler’s docs.
